The La Party Fantastique team of awesome stylists, Brianna Braun of Heiress Salon, Marissa Fox, Amberlee Erdmann, and Tiger Alley Clothing proprietress, Jordan Keij, are dressing up shopfront windows to promote the upcoming party.

Crafting the perfect cocktail

We are so thrilled that Maple Leaf Spirits are joining us as sponsors of La Party Fantastique!  Anette & Jorg Engel, owners of Maple Leaf Spirits, have been distilling delightful fruit liqueurs and spirits for almost ten years.  Creating European-style grappas and some sweeter liqueurs has brought them quite a few distinctions, for the quality of their products, the sustainability of their sourcing (they use local fruit that is perfect for mashing, but not for retail sale in the grocery store) and they have a strong customer base in Europe. Have a look at their range of delightful products!

Today we visited Anette in the distillery to talk with her as she created the recipe for the signature cocktail to be served in the VIP Lounge.  It was decided that we should feature 2 options - a cherry and a pear cocktail.  Both utilize the liqueur and spirit made from the respective fruits, creating an incredible aroma that is as enjoyable as the taste.  We know you will enjoy it... all the more reason to upgrade to that VIP Lounge experience!
Meet Anette at the event and try her delicious signature cocktail!

What If I buy a VIP ticket and my friends don't?

The VIP lounge is a sectioned off area - it's not completely separated.  As a VIP ticket holder, you'll be able to go in and out of the lounge as you please.  And you'll be able to bring your tasty cocktail with you.  If your friends are looking longingly into the lounge and wanting to join you... they can buy a ticket right there for only $20.

The perks of the VIP lounge are pretty good:
  • Comfy seating
  • Private bar serving a signature cocktail & highballs as well as wine and beer (the non-VIP bar only serves wine & beer)
  • Masseuse: loosen up those shoulders!
  • Manicure station
  • Private courtyard
  • Best of all - the additional $20 you paid to access the lounge is actually a donation to the Penticton Art Gallery!  So you get a double halo!

Is it a costume party?

I've had a couple of inquiries about La Party Fantastique's dress code.  And fair enough as out previous parties have been strictly costumed events.

This is not a costumed event - although creativity and whimsy are always welcomed!
Think of this as a cocktail party.  Ladies, you're dressing in a cute little outfit that will let you dance and feel fabulous all at the same time.  Gentlemen, pretty much the same goes - a nice outfit that enables you to break it out on the dancefloor!

why "La Party Fantastique"?

It's been a while since we last hosted a big party.  And an opportunity came up to partner with Tiger Alley, and with SOVAS, who are already known for some pretty great fundraising events (need I mention the annual Disco party and the fashion shows at Poplar Grove?).  It would be a collaboration that would involve the expertise of Heiress Salon & Boutique, the styling genius and awesome inventory of Tiger Alley and the knowledge & experience of some awesome folks.

Well, why not?!
We already had been thinking about applying the fun of our parties to selected fundraisers.  It did mean some changes to our format - increased ticket prices, new venue, and an event with more moving parts... but change is fun and offering a variety of different types of parties sounded fun too.

Already the planning process has been amazing.  Working with such talented and visionary people is wonderful.  I hope you will be able to join us.  The night will be SO much fun!
